Allen & Heath GR-4

The Allen & Heath GR4 is a compact and versatile 1U zone mixer tailored for managing background music and paging in environments such as restaurants, retail stores, and hospitality venues. Designed with both installers and end-users in mind, it offers intuitive control while supporting professional audio routing needs.

The GR4 features four mic inputs and four stereo line inputs, with a convenient front-panel XLR option for MIC 1 and a 3.5mm jack for quickly connecting portable devices. Output is handled via two stereo (or mono) zone outputs, plus two additional mono outputs, all on Phoenix connectors. This flexibility allows for independent or combined audio routing across up to four zones.

With paging and emergency input contacts, the GR4 integrates seamlessly with third-party paging and fire alarm systems. It supports multiple operational modes-such as primary/secondary mic prioritization, emergency override, and jukebox priority line input-for enhanced control in real-world scenarios.

Remote operation is easily enabled via compatible PL-14 wall plates or third-party analog controls. The PL-14 allows zone-specific or unified control over volume and source selection, with optional infrared remote functionality via the PL-5 for wireless convenience. All of this is housed in a robust unit suitable for both rack-mount and desktop use, making the GR4 an ideal hub for multi-zone audio management.
