Description

The Whirlwind Cab Driver is a compact test device designed to evaluate the functionality of speaker components within enclosures. It generates a pink noise signal, adjustable for subwoofers, midrange drivers, and tweeters, which can be routed through various connectors, including Speakon NL8 and NL4, 1/4" TS, and banana jacks. An XLR line output is available for testing self-powered speakers. The device also features a DC Ohms test function that applies 5V DC to the selected output, allowing users to observe cone movement and identify speaker and cabling polarity errors. LED indicators display impedance levels of 4, 8, or 16 ohms, aiding in the detection of blown drivers, especially in complex configurations. The Cab Driver operates on four AA batteries or an external 6V DC power supply.
