The AHM-16Z from Allen & Heath delivers powerful audio management capabilities in a compact and cost-effective form, ideal for single-room setups or smaller multi-zone venues like restaurants, bars, retail spaces, and educational facilities. At its core is a 16-16 matrix processing engine powered by a 96kHz FPGA, offering ultra-low latency and sophisticated control over signal routing and zone customization.
With 8 mic/line inputs and 8 relay-protected line outputs via Phoenix connectors, plus an audio networking I/O port supporting Dante, MADI, Waves, or SLink cards, the AHM-16Z is highly adaptable. Users benefit from advanced tools like automatic mic mixing, ambient noise compensation (ANC), priority ducking, comprehensive EQ and dynamics on all inputs and zones, and detailed speaker processing including crossovers and all-pass filters.
On the hardware side, the unit features a front-panel display and four programmable SoftKeys for essential functions such as source selection and volume control. It integrates seamlessly with IP remote controllers, GPIO interfaces, and third-party systems like Crestron or AMX. Whether used standalone or within a larger digital ecosystem, the AHM-16Z delivers flexible, reliable sound management with a user-friendly interface and powerful software control options.
