The Tutti is a 500 series discrete microphone and instrument preamplifier, created in collaboration between Wolff Audio and Sunset Sound. It is designed as a tribute to Tutti Camarata, an audio innovator and the founder of Sunset Sound. The original preamp, first installed in the Sunset Sound Studio 1 console, was used to record countless legendary sessions. This modern version, developed by Paul Wolff and Paul Camarata, maintains the essence of the classic design while incorporating top-tier components for exceptional audio performance. The inclusion of Cinemag transformers, designed by David Geren, ensures that this preamp stays true to the original's sonic characteristics.

Built for warmth and precision, the Tutti preamp offers key features such as fixed input gain in 10dB steps, adjustable gain trim, switchable mic and Hi-Z instrument input, and phantom power selection without pops. It also boasts custom dual Cinemag nickel I/O transformers, discrete dual 990 op-amps, and a flat frequency response from 10Hz to 60kHz with minimal distortion. With more than 60dB of gain and a clip onset at +28dBu, it delivers outstanding headroom and clarity.
