The RME ADI-6432 and ADI-6432R are professional 64-channel bidirectional format converters that bridge MADI and AES/EBU with uncompromising reliability, precision, and flexibility. Each unit converts all 64 channels of a single MADI stream to 32 AES/EBU ports-and vice versa-at sampling rates up to 192 kHz. This makes them ideal for high-capacity digital multicores, AES/EBU front-ends for MADI interfaces, or large-scale routing in broadcast and live production environments.
Built into a robust 2U 19" rack chassis, the converters feature both optical and coaxial MADI I/O, extensive clocking options with RME's SteadyClock jitter suppression, and smart redundancy, including automatic input selection between MADI ports. Advanced synchronization tools like SyncAlign and SyncCheck ensure phase-accurate, error-free operation, while a detailed 97-LED front-panel display provides instant visual feedback on sync, signal quality, and audio status.
The ADI-6432R version adds dual redundant power supplies, allowing connection to separate electrical circuits for uninterrupted operation in mission-critical workflows. Both models also support MIDI and RS232 data transmission over MADI, enabling remote control and system integration without extra cabling.
