Appsys ProAudio AppSys ADAT Extender

The Appsys ProAudio ADX-8 is an ADAT/TOSLINK extender designed to transmit 8-channel optical audio signals over distances up to 100 meters (330 feet) using standard Cat5 cabling. This solution effectively overcomes the typical 5-meter limitation of optical TOSLINK connections, providing greater flexibility in audio system setups.

The ADX-8 ensures lossless, uncompressed 1:1 transmission, maintaining the integrity of the original audio signal. It is compatible with various digital audio formats transmitted via TOSLINK, including ADAT, S/PDIF, AC-3 (Dolby Digital), and DTS. The device introduces near-zero latency (less than 1 microsecond), making it suitable for time-sensitive audio applications.
