Sonifex RB-ADDA2

The Sonifex RB-ADDA2 is a 1U rack-mountable combined analog-to-digital (A/D) and digital-to-analog (D/A) converter designed for professional audio applications. It enables seamless conversion between analog and digital audio formats, supporting sample rates up to 192kHz.

This device converts balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA stereo analog inputs into digital audio outputs available in AES/EBU, S/PDIF, or TOSLINK optical formats. It also processes digital audio signals from AES/EBU, S/PDIF, or TOSLINK optical inputs and outputs them as balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA stereo analog signals.

The RB-ADDA2 features independent AES/EBU and Word Clock inputs, allowing the A/D and D/A sections to operate independently and synchronize to an external master reference clock. It supports four operational modes: Master, Slave, Auto, and Auto Lock, offering flexibility in various studio configurations. The high sample rate compatibility and synchronization options make it suitable for high-resolution audio processing.
