ATC Loudspeakers SCM12i Pro (single)

Manufactured in-house to exacting tolerances ATC's drive units are legendary for their many design innovations. Hand-wound voice coils use only high density edge wound flat OFHC ribbon copper wire and operate in precision magnetic gaps. Front and rear venting not only reduces air flow noise but also increases power handling capacity and, therefore, long term reliability.

Massive magnet motor assemblies offer no-compromise optimisation for each voice coil diameter. Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) is a drive unit diaphragm technology from ATC that represents another advance in performance and one that transfers directly to system performance and the reproduction of music. The enhanced damping performance of this technology brings significant improvements to bass/mid drive units by reducing harmonic distortion in the critical midrange, improving magnitude linearity (frequency response) and also dispersion (behaving like a smaller drive unit off axis). These features have been incorporated into the SB45-150CLD bass/mid driver and integrated into the new SCM12 Pro.

This passive professional near field monitor also incorporates ATC's SH25-76 tweeter. Sharing technology with the renowned ATC Soft Dome midrange unit the new tweeter employs a unique dual suspension system suppressing diaphragm rocking modes and eliminating the need for ferrofluid.

The SCM12 Pro has a perfect partner in the ATC P1 Power Amplifier.

• The SCM12i Pro is a compact 2-way passive monitor designed for installation into recording, post production, broadcast and film studios.

• It's compact size and exceptional performance make it an ideal loudspeaker for use in surround/multi-channel recording/mixing and immersive audio applications such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro 3D.

• To facilitate simple install, the cabinet features mounting points compatible with popular wall/ceiling brackets.

• The SCM12i is designed around the same philosophy as ATC's 2 and 3-way active monitor loudspeakers and also employs driver components & technology found in these larger models resulting in exceptional consistency across the product range.
