Genelec UNIO-PRM

The Personal Reference Monitoring (PRM) concept bridges in-room and headphone monitoring by enabling the user to seamlessly transition between a calibrated loudspeaker system and headphone-based monitoring. This enables efficient workflows, productivity, and reliability in audio engineering work. The PRM is an active reference monitoring solution using 9320A SAMTM Reference Controller and 8550A Reference Headphones. This matched system enables the user to access the full content of audio and achieve the highest monitoring accuracy.

The active operating principle exploits the unique combination of the 9320A headphone output with a specific serial number of 8550A. The signal processing in the 9320A applies the unique Genelec factory calibration. This active operating principle enables precise and extremely linear system output, removing unit-to-unit variations and resulting in high precision of reproduction.
