Besides not supporting the speakers the way that they were designed to, they do not isolate the MM27s from the electronics, the other monitors or the structure along with these three drawbacks they seldom position your monitors exactly where they need to be for best sound. The Sound Anchors MM27 stands allow the engineer to correctly place a pair of monitors behind his console in either the vertical or horizontal position. These stands allow height and tilt adjustment of the monitors. The base and the upright are filled and damped at the factory. MM27 stands offer a very solid, stable and non-resonant support for your speakers. The speaker support is made of 1/8" wall steel tube, 1/2" steel bar" and 3/8" steel bar.
