The AEA SMT is a stereo microphone template bar designed to facilitate precise and flexible stereo recording configurations. It allows for various stereo techniques, including ORTF (90-degree side-by-side mounting) and near-coincident spacings, accommodating a wide range of recording applications from orchestras and choirs to studio sessions.

Constructed with durability in mind, the SMT bar includes essential components to accommodate different microphone mounting requirements. The package comprises two TA-2 adapters (F 3/8-16 to M 5/8-27), two locking rings, four 3/8-16 socket cap screws, and a Posi-Lok adjustable angle adapter. Additionally, it comes with a "Stereo Microphone Perspectives" tutorial to assist users in setting up various stereo configurations effectively.
